| Planning Supervisor
The Planning Supervisor role was
created by the introduction of the Construction (Design &
Management) Regulations 1994 – more commonly referred to as “CDM” –
on 31 March 1995. The Regulations were introduced to safeguard
construction operatives and anyone else who may be affected.
A Planning Supervisor is required
where a project is expected to last more than 30 days, involves more
than 500 person days of work, if 5 or more people will be
undertaking construction work at any one time or if demolition is
involved. A Planning Supervisor is not normally required for a
project carried out for a domestic client.
